[Saba Sports Cricket] The drums are about to roll for the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2024 auction. After the success of the WPL 2023, the tournament will return to February-March next year for its second installment.
Five franchises – Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Gujarat Titans and UP Warriorz – will participate in the league, just like the last season.
Ahead of the WPL 2024 auction, every team submitted the list of their retained and released players for the upcoming edition. A collective total of 60 and 29 players were retained and released respectively.
165 women cricketers, including 56 capped players, have registered themselves for the WPL 2024 auction. 104 of these are Indians.
